Please say the words in bold

Welcome

Opening prayer
O gracious and holy Father,
give us wisdom to perceive you,
diligence to seek you,
patience to wait for you,
eyes to behold you,
a heart to meditate upon you,
and a life to proclaim you,
through the power of the spirit
of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Song
Praise my soul the King of heaven
To His feet your tribute bring
Ransomed healed restored forgiven

Who like me His praise should sing Alleluia, Alleluia
Praise the everlasting King

Praise Him for His grace and favour
To our fathers in distress
Praise Him still the same forever
Slow to blame and swift to bless
Alleluia, Alleluia
Glorious in His faithfulness

Father-like He tends and spares us
All our hopes and fears He knows
In His hands He gently bears us
Rescues us from all our foes
Alleluia, Alleluia
Widely as His mercy flows

Angels help us to adore Him
You behold Him face to face
Sun and moon bow down before Him Praise Him all in time and space
Alleluia, Alleluia
Praise with us the God of grace

Confession
God our Father,

we come to you in sorrow for our sins.

For turning away from you,

and ignoring your will for our lives;
Father, forgive us:
save us and help us.

For behaving just as we wish,

without thinking of you;

Father, forgive us:
save us and help us.

For failing you by what we do,

and think and say;

Father, forgive us:
save us and help us.

For letting ourselves be drawn away from you

by temptations in the world about us;

Father, forgive us:
save us and help us.

For living as if we were ashamed

to belong to your Son;

Father, forgive us:
save us and help us.

May the God of love and power

forgive us and free us from our sins,

heal and strengthen us by his Spirit,

and raise us to new life in Christ our Lord.
Amen

Interview

Give glory to the Lord

Glorify the Lord with me; exalt his name, for great is he!

I’ll praise the Lord for ever and ever.

I’ll praise the Lord for ever and ever,

my soul shall boast of his wonderful name:

I sought the Lord, he answered my calling,

delivered me from my innermost fears:

O taste and see how gracious the Lord is –

secure are they who take refuge in him:

The Lord redeems the faithful who serve him,

and those who trust him he never condemns:

Glorify the Lord with me; exalt his name, for great is he!

I’ll praise the Lord for ever and ever.

Song

You have my heart
And I am Yours forever
You are my strength
God of grace and power
And ev'rything
You hold in Your hand
Still You make time for me
I can't understand

Praise You God of earth and sky
How beautiful is Your unfailing love
Unfailing love
And You never change God You remain
The Holy One and my unfailing love
Unfailing love.

You are my rock
The One I hold on to
You are my song
And I sing for You
And ev'rything
You hold in Your hand
Still You make time for me
I can't understand

And ev'rything
You hold in Your hand
Still You make time for me
I can't understand

Song

My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus' blood and righteousness

I dare not trust the sweetest frame

But wholly trust in Jesus' Name  (REPEAT)

Christ alone cornerstone

Weak made strong in the Saviour's love

Through the storm He is Lord

Lord of all

When darkness seems to hide His face

I rest on His unchanging grace

In every high and stormy gale

My anchor holds within the veil

My anchor holds within the veil

When He shall come with trumpet sound

Oh may I then in Him be found

Dressed in His righteousness alone

Faultless stand before the throne
He is Lord Lord of all

Sermon Dominic Newstead

Affirmation of Faith
Do you believe and trust in God the Father,

source of all being and life,

the one for whom we exist?

We believe and trust in him.

Do you believe and trust in God the Son,

who took our human nature,

died for us and rose again?

We believe and trust in him.

Do you believe and trust in God the Holy Spirit,

who gives life to the people of God

and makes Christ known in the world?

We believe and trust in him.

This is the faith of the Church.

This is our faith.

We believe and trust in one God,

Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Communion Prayer

Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give thanks and praise.

Why is it right to give thanks and praise?
Let us listen and we will hear

Lord of all life,
you created the universe,
where all living things reflect your glory.
You give us this great and beautiful earth, to discover and to cherish.

You give us the starry sky above,
the sun and the moon,
and everything that gives us light,
light for our eyes and hearts and minds.

You made us all,
each wonderfully different,
to join with the angels
and sing your praise:
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.

We thank you, loving Father,
because you sent Jesus, your Son.
He suffered on the cross;
he died to save us from our sins;
And he rose in glory from the dead.
Send your Holy Spirit
that these gifts of bread and wine
may be for us Christ’s body and his blood.
Amen, Amen, Amen.

Why do we share this bread and wine?
Let us listen and we will hear

On the night before he died,
when darkness had fallen,
Jesus took bread.
He gave thanks, broke it,
and shared it with his disciples, saying:
‘This is my body, given for you.
Do this to remember me.

After they had eaten,
he took the cup of wine, gave thanks,
and shared it with his disciples, saying:
‘This is my blood, poured out for you and for many, for the forgiveness of sins.’

So Father, with this bread and this cup
we celebrate his love, his death, his risen life.
As you feed us with these gifts,
send your Holy Spirit, and change us more and more to be like Jesus our Saviour.
Amen, Amen, Amen.

How do we follow Jesus?
Let us listen and we will hear

Help us, Father, to love one another,
and to work together for that day
when the whole world is fed,
suffering is ended,
and creation is gathered in your loving arms,
through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Amen, Amen, Amen.

Invitation to Communion

So come to this table not because you

are strong but because you are weak.

Come not because any goodness of

your own gives you a right to come,

but because you need mercy and help.

Come because you love the Lord a

little and would like to love Him more.

Come not because you are worthy

to approach Him,

but because He died for sinners.

Come because He loves you

and gave His life for you.

Songs

Oh I'm leaning leaning
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning leaning leaning on the everlasting arms
Leaning on the everlasting arms
Oh I'm leaning on the everlasting arms.

Let my yes be yes to You oh Lord
Let my no be no to things of this world
If I rise or fall if I stand at all
I am leaning on Your everlasting arms

What a fellowship what a joy divine
What a priceless gift
God I'm Yours and You are mine
Let my restless soul be still and know
I am leaning on Your everlasting arms
(I am leaning on Your everlasting arms)

From the morning sun and mercies new
To the evening stars every promise is true
As I walk this world I'm held by You
I am leaning on Your everlasting arms

The more I'm leaning the more I'm flying
Feels less like dying
More like living for Heaven on Earth.

Song
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Turn your eyes to the hillside
Where justice and mercy embrace
There the Son of God gave His life for us
And our measureless debt was erased

Jesus to You we lift our eyes
Jesus our glory and our prize
We adore You behold You our Saviour ever true
Oh Jesus we turn our eyes to You

Turn your eyes to the morning
And see Christ the lion awake
What a glorious dawn fear of death is gone
For we carry His life in our veins

Jesus to You we lift our eyes

Turn your eyes to the heavens
Our King will return for His own

Every knee will bow every tongue will shout
All glory to Jesus alone

Prayers after Communion

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory
are yours, now and forever.
Amen.

Almighty God, we thank you
for feeding us with the body and blood
of your Son Jesus Christ.
Through him we offer you our souls
and bodies to be a living sacrifice.

Send us out in the power of your Spirit
to live and work to your praise and glory.

Amen.

Offertory prayer

God of all goodness and grace,

receive the gifts we offer;

and grant that our whole life may give you glory and praise;

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Song

You unravel me, with a melody
You surround me with a song
Of deliverance, from my enemies
Till all my fears are gone

I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

From my mothers womb
You have chosen me
Love has called my name
I’ve been born again, into your family
Your blood flows through my veins
Chorus (x2)

You split the sea
So I could walk right through it
All my fears were drowned in perfect love
You rescued me
So I could stand and sing
I am child of God  (x2)

Chorus

You unravel me, with a melody
You surround me with a song
Of deliverance, from my enemies
Till all my fears are gone

I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

Brian Johnson | Joel Case | Jonathan David Helser

Closing prayer

Loving God, we thank you for hearing our prayers,
feeding us with your word,
and encouraging us in our meeting together.
Take us and use us
to love and serve you, and all people,
in the power of your Spirit
and in the name of your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Blessing

May God give to us and to all those we love

his comfort and his peace,

his light and his joy,

in this world and the next;

and the blessing of God Almighty,

the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,

be among us and remain with us always.

Amen
