Morning Service
St Jozef Church, Moorsel
Welcome

Opening prayer
God of Creation,
all of the world proclaims your praise,
from the highest heavens to the deepest recesses of the sea.
Make our voices true and faithful
as we join the voices of all of creation to sing your praise.
Amen.
Song
Blessing and honour glory and power
Be unto the Ancient of Days
From ev'ry nation all of creation
Bow before the Ancient of Days
Ev'ry tongue in heaven and earth
Shall declare Your glory
Ev'ry knee shall bow at Your throne
In worship
You will be exalted O God
And Your kingdom shall not pass away
O Ancient of Days
Your kingdom shall reign
Over all the earth
Sing unto the Ancient of Days
For none can compare
To Your matchless worth
Sing unto the Ancient of Days

Prayer
God of Light and Love,
help us this day to worship you
with all of our hearts, minds, and bodies.
Shower us with the grace of your Spirit
that we might joyfully receive
the message you have for us today.
Amen.

Confession
Christ himself bore our sins in his body on the cross so that,
free from sin, we might live for righteousness;
by his wounds we have been healed.
Cf 1 Peter 2:24
Let us confess our sins.
Most merciful God,
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
we confess that we have sinned
in thought, word and deed.
We have not loved you with our whole heart.
We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves.
In your mercy
forgive what we have been,
help us to amend what we are,
and direct what we shall be;
that we may do justly,
love mercy,
and walk humbly with you, our God.
Amen.
Absolution
Almighty God,
who in Jesus Christ has given us
a kingdom that cannot be destroyed,
forgive us our sins,
open our eyes to God’s truth,
strengthen us to do God’s will
and give us the joy of his kingdom,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Song
Lord how You've loved me I don't deserve
Grace on top of grace
More than I've asked for more than I'm worth
Grace on top of grace
How sweet the sound once lost now found
Heaven came down and grace rescued me
Hallelujah I am free
From my sin and penalty
At the cross You took my place
With Your grace on top of grace
With Your grace on top of grace
With Your grace on top of grace

Song
Worthy of ev'ry song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of ev'ry breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Jesus the name above ev'ry other name
Jesus the only one who could ever save
Worthy of ev'ry breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
We live for You
Holy there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder and show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me
I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken

Song
Amazing love that welcomes me
The kindness of mercy
That bought with blood wholeheartedly
My soul undeserving
God You're so good
God You're so good
God You're so good
You're so good to me
Behold the cross age to age
And hour by hour
The dead are raised the sinner saved
The work of Your power
I am blessed I am called
I am healed I am whole
I am saved in Jesus' name
Highly favored anointed
Filled with Your pow'r
For the glory of Jesus' name
And should this life bring suffering
Lord I will remember
What Calvary has bought for me
Both now and forever

Prayers of Intercession

The Lord’s prayer
Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
your will be done
On earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power
and the glory are yours,
now and forever, Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord God, you have blessed us with love and goodness.
We wonder at the beauty of your creation,
we thank you for the sustenance of food and drink
and we cherish the love of family and friends.
Lord, we offer these gifts to you with thankful hearts
and in joyous praise.
As we give of our money and resources,
we pray Lord that this offering may extend the work of your kingdom in your church,
here and wherever you send us for your glory.
Amen.

Church family news
Song
Come set Your rule and reign
In our hearts again
Increase in us we pray
Unveil why we're made
Come set our hearts ablaze with hope
Like wildfire in our very souls
Holy Spirit come invade us now
We are Your church
We need Your pow'r in us
We seek Your kingdom first
We hunger and we thirst
Refuse to waste our lives
For You're our joy and prize
To see the captives' hearts released
The hurt the sick the poor at peace
We lay down our lives for heaven's cause
We are Your church
We pray revive this earth
Build Your kingdom here
Let the darkness fear
Show Your mighty hand
Heal our streets and land
Set Your church on fire
Win this nation back
Change the atmosphere
Build Your kingdom here we pray
Unleash Your kingdom's pow'r
Reaching the near and far
No force of hell can stop
Your beauty changing hearts
You made us for much more than this
Awake the kingdom seed in us
Fill us with the strength and love of Christ
We are Your church
We are the hope on earth
